Dr. Suzanne Berman is a native Californian but has
lived in many parts of the United States. She first became
interested in medicine during a field trip to the Texas
Medical Center in elementary school.
Dr. Berman did her
undergraduate preparation for medicine at Rice University in
Houston, Texas. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and
graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in chemistry and
Latin American studies. She obtained her M.D. degree with
high honors from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, where
she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical academic
honor society. Dr. Berman did her specialty residency
training in pediatrics at Southern Illinois University in
Springfield, Illinois. She is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Berman is on the hospital staff of Cumberland Medical Center and has a clinical faculty appointment at
Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Dr. Berman is a member of the Cumberland Pediatric Foundation and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
