Beyfortus Now Available

beyfortus  now available for infants ages 0-7 months

Beyfortus is now available at Plateau Pediatrics for infants ages 0-7 months.   This RSV immunization protects infants against severe RSV infection.  We recommend that families desiring this additional protection for their little ones get it before the RSV season starts (typically in November or December in middle Tennessee.) 

While your baby can receive it at your next regularly scheduled checkup (typically 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, and 6 months), you have the option to get it earlier, particularly if your next scheduled checkup is several weeks away, or if you have upcoming travel plans.  To schedule a Beyfortus appointment, call (931) 707-8700 or login to our portal at https://platpeds.portal.officepracticum.com and request a Beyfortus "baby RSV vaccine" appointment.

Note: once your baby turns 8 months old, he or she no longer qualifies unless he or she is considered high risk (e.g. preterm infants born <32 weeks, immunocompromised, Down Syndrome, chronic lung disease).   So be sure your next appointment is scheduled before your baby turns 8 months old.
